My love for keyboard commands started at a young age! I think everyone starts by learning the same 3 commands.
- Control + C (Copy)
- Control + V (Paste)
- Control + S (Save)
BUT why stop there! In my opinion, there’s so many helpful keyboard shortcuts, it’s worth learning as many as you can. At this point I know a large number of commands in every program that I use.
Customizable Keyboard Shortcuts
The best part is… If you’re looking for a keyboard shortcut, and it doesn’t exist, you can create it yourself! Just about every application (that I use at least) offers customizable shortcuts. Even the command to open the ‘Keyboard Shortcuts and Menus’ interface in Photoshop, you guessed it, has a keyboard shortcut! (Alt + Shift + Control + K)
